Misamis Occidental I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MOELCI I) is an electric cooperative duly organized, incorporated and registered on the 18thof August, 1972. Its principal office is located at Magcamiguing, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.
MOELCI I is a non-stock, non-profit, member-owned distribution utility organized by virtue of Presidential Degree No. 269 under the supervision of the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
Driven by its mission to “To provide adequate and efficient 24/7 power service to member-consumer”, MOELCI I reaffirms its commitment to all stakeholders for better services. It aims to be and excellent and competitive power service provider.

Operational Milestones
September 19, 1972 – approval of loan with NEA amounting to nine million seven hundred seventy four thousand five hundred pesos (Php 9,774,500.00) as provided in RA 6438 to finance the construction and operation of the electric system, payable in 35 years at 3% interest per annum.
April 01, 1973 – signing of Deed of Donation of five (5) hectares of land for the Coop Headquarters, from the philanthropic gesture of the late Mr. & Mrs. Francisco Arancon Iman, a resident of Magcamiguing, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.
October 25, 1976 – inaugural rites of MOELCI I Headquarters
November 14, 1977 -construction of 69KV Transmission Lines from NPC Sub-station at Baňadero, Ozamis City to MOELCI I Sub-station at Villflor, Oroquieta City
June 24, 1978 – Start of actual operation (Single phase)
October 05, 1978 -energization and inaugural ceremonies of the system.
September 27, 2008 -energization of additional five (5) MVA Substation at Bunawan, Calamba, Misamis Occidental
